Chris Lantz is the only internationally award-winning chainsaw carver in Georgia! He is one of only a handful of full time chainsaw wood carvers/chainsaw artists in Georgia, as well.
Chris Lantz is an internationally award winning professional chainsaw sculptor in Georgia. He has 16 years' experience in the field. Although his carving career began in 2009, he decided to wait until 2013 to attend chainsaw carving competitions. He has been recognized around 50 times! Below is a more in-depth list of his major successes.
(For reference, a masterpiece is typically an 8' log 2' in diameter carved in 8-10 hours spread over 3 days. The quick carve is an arena style event where all participants have 30 to 90 minutes, depending on the competition, to create a finished piece to be auctioned off.)
